Does Windows Phone 8 sync to Outlook?
« on: December 01, 2012, 01:53:57 PM »

As you know windows 7 had many problems on the phones and didn't connect properly with Outlook. Now we have Windows 8, supposed to be much better in any way and of course sync to outlook.

Will multi tasks be supported? I would say Microsoft would fully support and connect their products however i can't be sure about Microsoft that they will be doing this.

Windows Phone 8 syncs with Exchange nicely and Tasks are supported as far as I see from my windows phone 8. How about you?

Outlook Notes will never sync so it's best to try OneNotes instead.

And by the way it looks, windows phone 8 outlook will use cloud technology so are you prepared to share your private data with someone else?

Outlook isn't really used for syncing items over to Windows Phone. To get things like contacts to sync over to your Windows Phone you will need to use Outlook.com (with your MSN, Windows Live, or Hotmail, it's the same as the email account you used to sign into your Windows Phone) to manage those things.

It's basically powered by the cloud (yes you can't talk about privacy here), so if you make a new contact in your People hub, that should sync over to Outlook 2010 and to your People web app in Outlook.com.
